Shattered
i lay here
broken
in the dark
tucked beneath
my widow’s cloak
my heart in pieces
stirred and haunted
below the stars
a wounded animal
i stray
i limp and wander
lingering
in circles wide
a vagabond
without her mate
a soul idle hovering
adrift amidst the fog
