Sex Addiction

Where is the man who held my soul,
Who cherished our precious love?
Where is the man who’d ‘never leave me alone',
Who sang me those words and more?
Where is the man who would pull me close
As a lively dance hit enveloped the room?
Where is the man who followed my lead,
Just to see where my soul journey took me?
Where is the man who laughed with me
As we played our silly games?
Where is the man who romanced me
With candle light, dinners and love poems?
Where is the man who loved me so much,
That I felt like I was the one?
Where is the man I connected with,
So deeply as if we were one?
Where is the man who would gaze at me,
Like I was his soulmate till the end of his days?

The internet lured him, and Craig’s list too,
Every size, shape, and colour on demand.
I had lost him to something beyond my control.
The lies and betrayals, the secret liaisons,
They tore at my heart till it bled!
My soul was trampled on and my core ripped out!
My eyes like a faucet with a serious leak!
I ripped my hair out and tore at my body!
My insides became hollow, a nothingness.....
Just a shell from lack of appetite and sleep,
Eyes large and empty with a tortured sadness.
The emotional roller coaster of false promises
Finally destroyed me......I felt nothing......on automatic...
Asked him to leave.....and it broke my heart in two.
