Love Poem: Sent To Me

Sent To Me

The life I hate
Isn't how I hide.
It's more the way
I sit and cry.

No one knows
The hurt I feel.
And until now,
It wasn't real.

I made myself
Believe the lies,
That I told myself
Right to my eyes.

Into the mirror
I said out loud,
"You're so awful,
I'll never be proud."

When I broke down
At school that day,
I thought that then,
It'd never go away.

Some how, some way,
You came to me.
You were sent
To set me free.

You're my angel,
My 'guardian' one,
And your work here,
is already done.

When I looked
Into your eyes,
I forgot
All those lies.

Some how, you
Were sent to me.
Thank you, angel,
Now I'm free.
