Love Poem: Seeing You

Seeing You

What do you do when fetters fall, and life is lived again,
then,

only to be bound again?

How do you cope when winter sets its icy grip like finger bones,
then,

as sudden as the Winter's storm Spring emerges, fleeting as the soft hush at dusk or break of dawn?
then,

back again the lifeless leaves fall, Winter returns.

Do you hope for Spring eternal?
Do you dream of Summer's breezes?

Or,

wounded with frozen heart do you recoil as a sea creature snapping into lonely shell, slowly shrinking into the dark?

Dream.

Come fettered wrists make freedom sweeter though scars remain,
Come winter's ice, make Spring brighter, the hush like a shout!

Then perhaps my love is finally pure.
Then perhaps, with vision clear, I see Winter's beauty.
Then perhaps, with humbled heart I begin to see...

You.
