Love Poem: Seed of Faith

Seed of Faith

The tub is filled with
Blood
And
Purple hair dye
Staining the porcelain
I lay in the water
Drenching in the hues
Of red and blues
I see truth
In the lights along the river
Reflecting
Us
Our hands touch
But I don’t feel your hand
Like you don’t mine
An endless cold, glassy world
But there’s a small smitten of warmth
Passing through the transparent glass
Silent walks around the perimeter
Until there’s one noticeable shine
Gleaming into a kaleidoscope of colors
The jagged shards and cracks
Eventually made a tiny hole into the glass
We reach out
The shards biting
But the blood was somewhat
Warm and comforting
A small sliver of hope
A rush of wind kisses my ear
My hand automatically reaches out
A seed of faith
Blossoming into ardor
Patience is essential
Timing is everything
They say, and finally
I understand
Each day cannot get any better
The days are getting shorter
But the glass is getting clearer
It’s getting warmer
And I have nothing but belief
Unto the next spring
For the new flowers to blossom
Into a bouquet of adulation
