Love Poem: Secret Lover

Secret Lover

The sullen wind and the rain thundered,
and withdrawing my dripping cloak, I let my damp hair fall,
going to him, I made my smooth white shoulder bare,
my raven hair tangled, I whispered, "I love you" . . .

I had come through the night to be with him,
he stroked my cheek and I wound my hair in his fingers,
kissing my throat, I sighed and closed my eyes,
his lips burned with his desire . . .

My head, he clasped to his thundering chest,
and his tears came falling down,
we stayed together all the night long,
and still we have not stirred . . .
