Soothing, calming, coloring
My hopes and dreams in a sweetness
That encourages me, blesses me,
Protects me from the harsh winter

Reflects the music in my soul,
Like a rhythm, a rhyme, poetry
So sublime, pursuing me, purifying
Awakening wonder so alive
Dancing like the stars in the midnight
Skies, joyful, startling
His word – scripture
Feeds my soul, like inspiration
Lighting the way through hurt
Promising to free my passions
From the darkness, the doubt
The feelings of dread, fears, tears
Whispering, caressing
Even my silence, my faith, my thanks
His word – prayers
Finally give me the victory
Reminding me that my life
Is alive with grace, a sincerity
Serenity that never fades
As it erases the blackness
Lifting the shadows and filling
My heart with purity, love
Brighter than the sun, promising
He will always provide
