Love Poem: Savior

Savior

You're eyes drew me in,
As well as your smile.
Your hope set me free,
And my soul now runs wild.
Wild as the wind
That I feel graze my face.
A once wandering soul
Which has now found her place.
Your arms a safe haven,
As you wipe falling tears.
You comfort me wholely,
Help me face all my fears.
You've taught me a bravery,
I didn't know I possessed.
But you've driven me onward,
Helped me conquer life's quests.
I was fueled by self hatred,
My agonies pressing.
But your lyrics of kindness,
Has me now second guessing.
I wondered how long,
I would live in such pain.
But your patience and grace,
Brought a season of change.
You showed me the light,
That I thought had been lost.
And I now can press forward
Be happy without cost.
The air that I breathe now,
It tastes a bit sweeter.
The hopes and the dreams
In my mind are much clearer.
The gift of motivation
Such a priceless gesture.
I am so very thankful,
For your loving, kind, nature.
I cannot express
All the thanks that I have.
I can conquer, prevail
And then never look back.
My babies, they need me,
And you've lifted me up.
So I can value myself
And climb out of this rut.
I promise your efforts,
They will not be wasted.
I'm taking ahold -
Of my life, and will chase it.
I'm ready to flourish
For my kids and I.
And hope you will stay,
So we can win - side by side.
