Love Poem: Santa Everywhere
Mark Hansen Avatar

Santa Everywhere

This year,
Seeing the real you,
Not in red,
Different races.
Male figure not,
Both sexes.
Young,
Old,
In between ages.
Tall,
Short,
Thin,
Size not matter.
Blonde,
And gray.
This is you,
Yet,
Not all.
Only the ones,
Kindling true meaning,
Christmas journey,
They walk.
Not by plastic money,
Mr. Scrooge complaining,
After the holidays,
About credit debts.
Yelling,
Screaming,
"Family! Cooking for them over a hot stove all day long!"
Not running in circles for the best gifts in town,
Just giving from the heart,
That's all.
Receiving,
Exchange-line is far from thinking,
Joyful just to have friends.
Nevertheless I see you.
Little Child birth not taken in vain,
Remembering his traveling moment,
In a stable sharing,
With live stocks.
And all this He speaks,
"Love one another in peace."
The Greatest Gift to give on His Birthday.
I see now,
North Pole,
All around.
Santa Claus is real,
Only in the many-few.
