Same Old Same Old

Sitting on this sagging bed
while wondering the world within my head,

for you don't have to live in just this world
and most of us lie defenceless minds having been twirled,
crying and curled.

I see the universe from the window of a plane,
or a spaceship maybe, am i going insane??
these thoughts in my mind i just cannot contain

imprison me in silence like has been done before,
but i will not be left in silence while you're wanting more and more,

exceptionally exceptional a way I can't explain
but when i treat you like a queen i get misery and shame,

it doesn't matter who, the same old story every time,
like a never ending mountain it seems I'm ever forced to climb,

my legs are getting tired my lungs running out of air,
I always look behind though 'cause the future has a glare,

but with your head turned backward it's hard to keep your pace,
and there is always something interesting you've left within your wake,

but I'm keeping my eyes in the present or I'll tell myself I am,
if only to save myself from another worthless scam
