Love Poem: Sailing Through Time

Sailing Through Time

Sometimes We have to move on

 and leave the past behind

Sometimes We lose enchantment

of all that's beautiful and bright.

Sometimes We have to sail away

 from those We dearly love

leaving pebbled Shores

fly over as a dove

Forgetting the Yesterday

 and starting anew

Searching for the Sun

sinking our blue

Saying goodbye

be without you

If days turn cold and grey

If nights turn rough and wild

I've gotta keep on waters

and learn to make it through.

Going to the attic

finding that wooden chest

lying in abandoment

of cobwebbed nostalgia

still holding to a verse

a love letter never sent

and many unsaid words

Going to the moments

when churning butterflies

fluttered in my heart

Moments when two flowers

 vowed not to be apart

Moments when you looked into my eyes

and believed in us to be

Moments we lived for just a shadow

of each other's destiny

Moments when Our voices

hushed and whispered with much love

Moments when i searched

the empty universe

and you where the star above

Wishing to turn back time

to the only place you are

whilst i remove my anchor

i keep sailing very far

This is not a poem

and this is not romance

this is a verse of heartbeats

and hundred untold words.

This is not passion

its pain ending your name

knowing through my journey

nothing will be the same

You are that special snapsot

the portrait in my life

the photograph still hanging

which keeps the past alive.
