Sailing Off the Edge of the World
The ecstasy of adoration and the excitement of exploring a new love. The successful completion of long-held dreams. The times when lady luck smiled and it was thought that things might always be that easy, that rosy. Yet life here on planet earth, because of its nature, there will be that element of losing, always the losing! Even still, wisdom lies at the bottom of a lifeboat, after the titanic sinking of a life. Sailing off the edge of the world, that the ancient mariner feared, is symbolic of that which ties us all together in life, but in death, we trust that our God will have mercy, and that with him, love will not be denied!
