Sadie, Sadie Married Lady

Shiny blue and white coffee pot,
snowy apron without a spot.

A diamond mine on your hand,
a need to feel beautiful and he understands.
As you look around your modest home,
you know that ring is just for show.
Because you know you'd give it up
to keep his love, to keep his love.

Some empty picture albums and silver frames
waiting to be filled with memories yet to be made.

A husband, the affectionate type,
who misses you when you're not in sight.

He holds you near the fireplace.
Being watched by jealous snowflakes.
They hear the clicking the embers make
and the dog finishes up the weddding cake.

There's a no other girl I'd rather be,
when he says your name, than you Sadie.
