Sad
The loneliness in my heart is sadness
when darkness drains my soul's dim light away
alone in this realm, feelings of madness
and knowing the hole in my heart will stay
this shadowed embrace I cannot outrace
in sorrowed dreams, I have held and swallowed
as sadness has a reason for its face
it follows my soul, my time it borrowed
its emptiness contained and shall remain
until my final day reveals my death
and I begin to release all the pain
when memories flow upon my last breath
I have been sad since she left me forlorn
for a love, I lost and will always mourn
