Love Poem: Rock

Rock

Psalms 62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

It came to me, this assurance
This belief –
It came to me in small pieces, like
The sensitivity that agrees…
Tomorrow is a faded memory.
Today holds the hope, the breathe
Rising beneath the stars, the trees
Walking past the clouds, the sun
Raising prayers and praise,
The assurance that this love, this
Faith, this forgiveness…
Is the music for our dance,
Twirling with love, swaying with
Grace, waltzing – floating
Freely in this place we know as
The world He created for us,
For our living – and believing

It came to me, this promise
This faith –
Rising in the moments, as I listened
To His grace, His kindness, His love
The miracle of knowing that He is
Like the beautiful in the seas,
The wisdom in the skies,
The wonder that clings to the night.
He is the strength of the heart,
The abiding praise inside the soul,
The light that never grows old.

It came to me in small pieces,
This realization that He is the reason
I know hope. I know peace –
I know what it means to give and receive
I know that He is my greatest strength,
This man of sorrow – this man of grace.
This man who knows me better…
Than I’ll ever know myself!

Because of Him, the power of grace
Abides within me, strengthening
Revealing all the blessings that have come
Because I believe in the light of the SON!

He truly is the rock that I continue to build upon!
