Rich In Love
Gladys Knight was a much favored soul songstress and though her song, “You’re The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me,” was more than likely a song of romance, I have sung this song unto the Lord.
For though I have spent a majority of my life believing that I would prosper in wealth, I have been humbled in Christ to learn the true meaning thereof by life’s bitter struggles, and I have recognized to never take for granted, joys in the midst of sorrows, and the precious treasure of memorable moments I have been graced to experience.
So while I have had countless moments of question, anxiety, and disruption of peace, in the midst of it all, I have been given the strength through faith in God to chose joy. And in between the lines of my own life’s story... by God’s strength and abundant grace, I have taken the liberty given me to choose to embrace all of the good, to be better than bitter, to choose laughter and life, and above all... love.
