Rhyme Time Iii: Death and Love

The casket is lowered slowly into the earth Destined to this moment even before birth Never understanding life for what it's worth Only to have a chance to still be alive Only to have a chance thy will to survive Letting life continue its catastrophic dive Now right here on death's door I arrive Why couldn't I choose to remain with you here Instead of being a corpse still full of fear Only if I could kiss you once again my dear If only I would've seen everything more clear Now forever dropped into the underground Buried under life now eternally bound Consciously unable, a voice without sound Everything I lost in all the nothing I've found Unfinished life quest of love and happiness As I watch you my love now cry in distress A better man I should've been this I confess I love you my dear, Godspeed, and God Bless Heart no longer beats but still breaks as you cry Why God did you not let us say goodbye Receiving no answers and getting no reply On final descent my tears fall from the sky The casket is lowered slowly into the earth
