Reverse
As solemn curse extracts the entity of worse,
so moderating to a lesser verb,
excoriates to slang of verse.
And so it is derivative's adverse,
is anger, that I cannot love thee - terse,
with gentle thought, as in some morning's nurse.
I love thee, there it be, in violence or curse -
I love thee, love thee, love thee - no reverse!
