Resurrecting Emotions

"Oh! Screw you!" "Don't want to!" "Take one way to hell!"
But feelings like these fake adults bury deep!
Dad's itching to beat me again I can tell!
No wonder my inner child struggles with sleep?

“Don’t leave me!” “I love you!” “Don’t make me a fool!”
I think that these cries are too little too late!
And hot or cold “withholds” can rarely look cool!
Might this be a case of “No, Heaven can’t wait?”

The “gifting of heaven” is what children bring,
It's not disrespectful to question what's true,
Such inquiries free us, invite us to sing,
And growth is the "witness" they open to view.

The “greatest” in heaven is “humble like child,”
Not full of themselves the way many appear!
Faith “Trust just in Christ” by false prophets reviled…
They claim they are priests but still carry a spear!

The child who’s unruly is not “duty-bound,”
Integrity glows like a crown on his head,
If parents are pure, does he still make a sound?
Truth’s never convenient! Better if dead?

Abuse any child? Better end your life now!
For Christ says that soon “you will have Hell to pay!”
The jury is out!? Boy, are you wrong and how!
With Eastwood, I smile and say, “Punk! Make my day!"
