Love Poem: Requiem.

Requiem.

To your silhouetted eyes I cling interminably
Long after I’m a faceless unrecalled name
Each memory starring the blanket of night
Fragmenting into blackness with each dawn
Reciprocated secrets locked within furtive eyes
As of ocean crests obsessing the fall of raindrops
Drowning out the whispered pining desires
       Celestial radiance unceasingly adorned spreading
Reproachable gossamer ensnaring me whole
Promising ambrosia in the horizons distant light
Evoking nostalgic vows from lilac meadows past
Beneath the ancient constellations my love declared eternal
A myriad of uncounted years have you defined my spirit
Of mislaid lives have I given you back to light whence we came
Era’s forgotten lost in the mists
       Names unspoken upon unknown tongues
In climes previously trekked searching over and over
I choose this cycle enduring anguish if it is mine to elect
The dust of time struggled is calloused upon my feet
I shall persist in this journey of searching our fates
To find you again...
                                   Beholding those eyes
