Remembering "Those Times"

There were those times,
When you seemingly had no time to spare,
But found time for me;
There were those times,
Though you had cares all of your own,
Yet you cared for mine.
There were those times,
When after giving all that you had to give,
Still gave all unto me.
There were those times,
Though tired from your cross' weight,
Helped me carry mine;
There were those times,
Both knowing all along you were right,
Yet you gave me my way.
Still those other times,
You would have chosen to go somewhere,
Yet you stayed with me.
There were those times,
When choosing to speak of shortcomings,
You mentioned not mine.
During all those times,
When attempts in life were sorely inadequate,
You still gave me praise.
So it is during this time,
I'm thanking, God, for our meeting, your Love,
And time spent together.
