Remember the Lessons
We teach our children to tell the truth,
even though, sometimes, it is not cool.
Before their friends, they must take a stand,
a pathway of goodness, others understand.
Don't follow the crowd, you have a voice,
always not simple, but, the right choice.
Repeated betrayal of the rules of life,
may haunt, and ruin a later flight.
Each year brings passage of a future so real,
education, and honor, one cannot steal.
Don't take for granted, easy is the way,
hard work, and character, one day will pay.
Follow the example of a man called Jesus,
remember the lessons, He came to teach us.
