Love Poem: Rehema Pete

Rehema Pete

I wish I could pour out all
the words in my humble
heart,
but they melt into tender
teardrops flowing from my
eyes,
I flaunted fair flowers but
they flared into the
sparkling skies,
I try to sing the songs in
my soul but know not how
to start...

For you I can do all things
but what could be the right
thing?
There is no colour that
could match the crown of
this cool creature,
I could have ripped off the
rainbow, but she radiates
in rapture,
in the midst of many
things, I am left with
nature or nothing...

I strolled to the streams to
wield the waves of white
waters,
just for them to whisper
my wishes to the walls of
her world,
but they stood still as my
special speech about her
spurred...
Oh how can I get through
to this gorgeous glow that
glitters!

If flowers fail to flaunt my
feeling at this fountain in
kenya,
if words melt at the heat I
emit from the empire of
emotions,
I will inscribe innocence on
my indescribeable
intentions
and wrap them in the rays
of the rainbow just to
reach Rehema.
