I don't regret meeting you
but I do regret falling for you
I wish my happiness
didn't depend so heavily on
whether I see your face or not
I don't regret you becoming a part of my life
but I do regret how big that part became
I wish I was as important to you
as you are to me
I don't regret kissing you for the first time
but I regret how much that kiss meant to me
I wish you had seen fireworks
when our lips met
just as I had
I don't regret liking you
but I know I'll regret loving you
so I'm trying unsuccessfully to keep myself
from doing just that
