Love Poem: Rediscovering You

Rediscovering You

Moonlight Kiss by Kathie Farrell

Your shadow, baring all in my glow, stirs
a passion I long to explore. Again, I yearn
for the warmth of your lips on my skin, soft
like flower petals moistened with morning dew.
Oh, if you only knew how I dream of our
amorous nights in the spark of youth!
Unbridled by a moonlit swim, you and I
cascading as one with the current.
Entwined bodies trembling with urgency
feeling like I may have died,
if we had not come together in the tide.
As waters simmered and churned,
we dived deeper, lost in love,
lost to the surrounding world.
With one stroke, I forgot who I was before.
Now, I want more than a memory.
A latent love will return with a slow, steady burn.
Our silent desires will be revealed
in a whisper, in a sigh.
We are destined, you and I, not a secret
but a story of love to share.
Our hearts, reunited will quicken
until no other sound can be heard.
Both of us ready to make up for lost time.
Love will spur us again and again.
One rousing touch and I remember.
One tender kiss and I surrender.
I give in to you and all I crave,
knowing now that I was starving without you.
