Red Tips On Golden Hair

When I think of you
my mind is free to think of only beautiful things.
An entire field of blossoms
Red with patches of blue and yellow,
Nature and all its beauty has to offer.
The universe and its many colors across its cosmos.
All that God has made that is beautiful.

Most of all when I think of true beauty, goodness and rightness
I think of you.
All that I can ponder.

You see, when you first appeared, your hair was golden with red tips.
You were then and are now an amazing sight to behold.
Your goodness was present then and is present still.
I loved you the moment I saw you and before.

Three weeks before you appeared a robin made its nest upon our porch.
A sign that someone good is about to appear on the earth.
I knew God would be with you always and also my heart.

I watched you grow as a person and mimic me in certain ways that delighted me.
My heart has not known a love so pure, gentle and good as yours.
You surpass your peers and all that I have ever known.
You are considerate, kind and forthright.
You guard the truth and speak it prudently.
Such caution is the outward sign of a truly great spirit.

I want to hold you and love you always.
You are the jewel of my heart.
If ever the universe chooses a ruler among women
you must be the one.
You have extraordinary judgment and maturity.
I believe you are gifted beyond all who are upon the earth
and when you act it is always with power and grace.
There are few who can claim such a gift.
And fewer who can hold on to it.
It is your first nature and intrinsic in the fabric woven by God.

Your humor is wonderful and your laugh can cure any illness.
I always want to be in your presence.
You don’t have to do anything but be present and my heart is content.

There are none like you and none to come after you.
This moment in time upon the earth is blessed because you are present.
I love you with all my heart and shall always.
