Love Poem: Reckless Desire

Reckless Desire

Reckless Desire

You exotic, erotic and so toxic.
An attraction of contradiction
Kiss me with lips of venom
Your poison burning my mouth
your Dragon tongue a fire in my throat
Kill me with your steely eyes
their stare stabbing me with blades of contempt
Your whisper chanting a spell of surrender
A trance conjured to deliver me into a deep pit of sleep
No method available to crawl out of the dream
Your breath warm
heavy on my skin.
It's fingers trickling over my body
In search of my soul
With intention to snatch it away at a vulnerable moment
With the precision of a magician's hand.
You my perpetual sin immune to absolution
My confession ignored
Drowned in a sea of voices
by waves of prayers swimming in a crowded church
I despise this love that
inflicts such a pleasured anguish
As you do
this bond generating a dangerous voltage
The unbridled electricity in our passion
charged from a single spark of reckless desire
