Really Was Never Meant To Be
How could something so right go so wrong?
We had been so in love for so very long.
Now, look at us we seem to always fuss and fight,
Neither wants to be wrong but always want to be right.
Never did I imagine that things would go down this way,
I had always imagined us being in love for always.
Over time our love grew weak instead of strong,
Can you tell me where on earth did we go wrong?
I used to think the world of you,
And there was not anything I would not had done for you.
You used to make me feel that I was the center of your universe,
You used to make me feel that to your life I had worth.
Whenever I would feel down you would always make me smile,
But now lately all you have done is make me cry like a child.
Your words pierece my heart like a double-edged sword,
I cannot help but feel of me you have now grown bored.
Things are just not the way they should be,
I think it is best that we just let one another go and be free.
We just cannot keep kidding ourselves that things are the same,
We must accept the fact that we have both changed.
Our love was really never meant to be to last a long time,
But maybe one day we will both surely find.
That kind of special love that will stand the test of time.
But sadly it will not be happening with us,
Therefore, we will just have to find other loves.
