Real Love
Sometimes I seek a reason
Where no reason can be found
And then I search for comfort
When comfort is no where around
But, there is One who reminds
That, by grace, I have the chance
To reach the Lord of heaven
With my prayers, needs and requests
Sometimes I look for happiness
Where joy yearns to fill my soul
And often I pursue opportunities
When prospects are better unknown
Because, there is One who gives
Hope beyond my own comprehension
Assurance that my soul belongs
To this Jesus who I choose to believe in
Sometimes I chase after love
Where no compassion or grace abounds
And I find myself shadowed by worry
When it is love that my heart desires
But, there is One who reminds me
That I have the answer living inside
Where He fills my soul with a light
That can only be given by Him
Sometimes, I reach for the glitter
When I should be seeking after God
Because it is Him and His gift of Jesus
Who healed my broken heart – settled
My debt with His forgiveness – and
Gave me a love I can always believe in….
A love that is bigger than my worry
Stronger than my sin – A Love
That floods my soul with kindness
And helps me to give like a true friend
Love like this can only be found
In this Jesus who forgives every sin!
