Love Poem: Rainy and Cold

Rainy and Cold

Sadness has no name, nor quiet disguise
This dim-lit realm of shade where tears can fall
And steal the heart's soul without compromise
To lay with shadowed pain to creep and crawl
In this, I wear each splattered raindrop felt
As they collect and fall from swollen eyes
I'll feel the face of love begin to melt
From coldest breath that flows from warmest lies
There is no pain that's ever free from debt
It's owed to judgments made and choices spent
To each cut that's made and each eye that wept
It brings to me these tears of sad lament

These rainy days that come with sadness found
Lead to a lonely space that will surround
