Love Poem: Rainy, Rainy Life,
John Hamilton Avatar
Written by: John Hamilton

Rainy, Rainy Life,

Rainy, rainy life-

Rainy, rainy life...
Blowing cold winds ...even in my dreams

Colors gone, even evergreens...
I think about the joy, I had with you

Now grey dwells within my soul...
Nothing exists to fill the hole

Seeds were planted ...but they cannot grow
In sterile, barren and forgotten soil

Chorus

Daily I will pray...
for strength to face, another day
Tomorrow's a turning world away
I can't think about it now...
Your mem'rys forever burned in my mind...
Unchanged with passing time

Rainy, rainy life...
Morning glory, hyacinthine blue

Colors blaze with fading hues...
Rainbows appear, immutable my mood,
Darkness has imbued

Salmon colored roses bloom...
I reside in constant gloom...
Awaiting your return with open arms

Chorus
Daily I will pray...
for strength to face, another day
Tomorrow's a turning world away
I can't think about it now...
Your mem'rys forever burned in my mind...
Unchanged with passing time

Rainy, rainy life...
pictures of the love we shared...

Mem'ries of loved one's that cared
My eyes see everything, but now I'm blind...
Life's been to me so unkind

People look and they stop and stare....
a homeless man , traveling to nowhere...
Standing watching cars pass in the pouring rain.

Chorus

Daily I will pray...
for strength to face, another day
Tomorrow's a turning world away
I can't think about it now...
Your mem'rys forever burned in my mind...
Unchanged with passing time
fade
