Rainfall

Rainfall
This rain fall today
They said
Was for me
What the reality is
You can say better
As few stray things
Do not come within
The purview of my perception
And I do not want them
To do so either
More over
The insufficiency of
Residential space here
 Is widely acclaimed, too
How many rustic images
Of my ancestors
Having spade on the shoulder
And a rope around their waists
Persist in this stone-walled-city
I do not know
Whether rain drops
Induce into the throat of cuckoos
A lovable cadence
I do not know.
I do not know even
If the drops of rain
Fill buds with sweet nectar.
I know only this much
In the drizzle
As I walked past you
Under your pink umbrella
You looked around
To catch my glimpse
