Love Poem: Quiet Reflections

Quiet Reflections

As days vanish in the distance of time
And I have reached a foreign thought of death
Memories burn away in flames to climb
The last vestige of life to leave with breath
I'll think of each kiss met along the way
And mists of dim lit eyes with love's consent
In my head hear voices so loud they stay
To visit shadowed faces of lament
Though life is a rush of passion's traveled
Can I now die in thoughts of yesterday
Love was wound a tighter ball unraveled
Filled with broken strings tied to my dismay
Pains were shared as a lover tends to do
I'll find forgiveness when last breath is through
