Love Poem: Queen Nothing

Queen Nothing

Behold, the almighty queen, ruler of these dying lands
The cause of dead life with acres of dry burning sands
With hands so cold and stained in a lovely blood lust
Careless eyes that sting like daggers in a passing gust

A kingdom stands tall with the tears you brought forth
Deceiving with a smile as bright as the star of the north
Luring poor peasants in as your slaves, loyal and blind
Deaf to your riddling words, devious to an ill-fated mind

Believe your view on us existing for your own exploit
Knighting those worthy, to fetch you more with adroit
Conquering the surrounding lands with a mighty sword
Enslaving more to serve you, who worship you as lord

A king you do not seek, there is no room on the throne
No one to limit your power, to realize your sins to atone
Unwilling a man to dim your shine upon the population
Knowing not that you darken the people with temptation

A perfect life it is, until your castle comes crashing down
The jewels lose their sparkle, cracking within your crown
Your loyal knights turn away, no more conquering ways
And down your wrongful path, it brings your end of days
