Love Poem: Public Kiss

Public Kiss

As you sauntered outside from the little tea house,
I perfected my smile to make you feel aroused.
And I could not take off my eyes watching you smoke.
How could nighttime be filled with white clouds when you spoke?

I adore those tattooed roses that grew in your right arm.
They seem to be divine; They look like your charm.
But I got to say it worked well when you looked me in the eyes.
I asked one inane question; Have I loved you in a while?

I did not want to head back home if only I had that choice.
I would have gotten a bottle of beer and made some noise.
Perhaps, we could spend some other time doing what we want.
I love to go to distant places; “Is that what you also want?”

As I strolled my feet away from the small round table where you stood,
You asked for a kiss; Then we made out as we should.
It was a slow-motion moment and I feel nobody was around.
I heard my heartbeats drumming; This love, I am drowned.
