Love Poem: Promises Enduring Weight.

Promises Enduring Weight.

She who has imbibed of life’s gaiety
I could request nothing more of
Her fervent ardency has rooted deeply
Ever burgeoning upon the pedestal of spirit
Her love my burning constancy

Eons of our lives pass she now wanes away
Each memory a pebble pulled out in tidewaters
Misty whispers dissipate far from my ears
I quail away in misery hiding on dusty shelves
Sealed in the bottle of her words

Avariciously arresting at echoing feelings
She moves away as of ripples on a glassy tarn
Knowing I shall find her as I descend the depths
Deeper in the blackness of spent lifeless years
My future drowning in my past

Covered in filths mantle I carry my someday
Despite the febrile appetite of lovelorn carrions
Aspiring to talon off my resolve devouring my flesh
Strewn with my bones the pathway impedes me
Washing my days with numbed anxiety

Cannot hope prolong strength for the road before me
A taste of maybe satiates my thirst for the moment
I trod on blindly with instincts weighted burden
Fulfilling my promise to adore her until end of all things
Her love my burning constancy
