Pride

For people like us, it is tough to tell the ones we truly love how we feel;
Cause they will cut us on their broken class and leave us with no way to heal.
Demons, monsters, heathens, freaks, and the mentally ill is what they will say;
Our way of love, they will not accept, why they will never tell; not any day
We will spend endless nights crying just to be fixed.
In the end, it can not be repaired for somewhere deep in you, it is mixed.
When we begin to grow, we get to see heaven perfect for me and you;
Where we can be free and not judged for who we ought to be.
I will hold your hand and you will hold mine, as we walk through rainbows fly;
Colours are scattered across the streets; we smile as we rise high.
Leave behind the closeted space; love our sleeves for how we are made.
Be brave and proud ignore those who will bring you down on this parade;
Laughing as we scream out loud, "society I am gay".
