I watch you run across a field of green
You're fleet afoot in a joy of freedom
I hear your laughter, it arrives unseen
I anticipate a big hug to come
You are my precious and flowing vein
Tied to my heart as a grand-daughter is
Richness of your smile I hope you sustain
Through every trial that a life always gives
