Porcelain Doll

The sun rises, and as she takes her place, a sanguine sun tints ivory clouds pink. And my artist's hand soon begins to race sketching her beauty with charcoal and ink. Ebony outlines cerulean eyes as if in an absinthe fantasy dream. And cotton-candy clouds color the skies as dawn's crimson light makes her aura gleam. With makeup as featureless as white smoke, scarlet silks adorn my porcelain doll. And imbuing elegance with each stroke, I'm motivated to capture it all. My Japanese Geisha touts perfection, for nothing about her bares correction. (Sonnet) 10/29/2017
