Poiseuille's Law and the Flow of Love

F = phi, flow

Flow from me to you, and you to me
The fundament of what love must be

Through the sacred conduit we build
Hearts brought near, desire fulfilled

It assumes our fluid love’s laminarity
As turbulence creates uncertainty.

? = eta, viscosity

When situations get thick and sticky,
It will get proportionally tricky

To keep the conversation going
And keep the vitality flowing

|?P| = the absolute pressure difference

If we are both pushing, the conduit
Cannot not let much go through it

And to win the pushing match ensures a lack--
what little goes in will not come back.

And if I overpressure you on any day
Chances are you will be blown away.

But when we freely give and receive
A questioning heart begins to believe!

L = Length

The longer the heart has to stretch
So proportionally harder it must push

Although distance is a function of the mind
Always close to me, you I can find.

8, p = constants

To be each other’s constants in life
A shield from the external strife

And to “eight” some “pie,” I do assert
Our life is better with this just dessert!

No, true lovers would not deny,
Happier is the couple who 8 more pi!

   4
R = the fourth power of Radius

The width of the connection, you see
By far the most important for you and me.

For if our connection grows twice as wide,
Sixteen times the love will flow inside.

But if the channel closes down by half to you
Barely six percent of the love can squeak through

And so we’ve seen this equation through
A ratio so clearly not irrational to you

A practical eye for fluid dynamics
Will add to our loving flow mechanics!
