Poets Love

Imagine that I love you; and we were meant to be;
Imagine that you loved me too; and both of us were free.
   Think about a garden; on a cliff above the sea;
   Imagine there’s a mystic moon; that shines for us to see.

Imagine if you will; that your eyes could make me sing;
Imagine that the flowers grew; from the joys that you could bring.
    Think about a magic circle; on your fingers there’s a ring;
    Imagine when I kissed you dear; birds would take to wing.

Imagine in another world; where love could conquer all;
Imagine that we both are there; and the joyous tears that fall.
     Think about me in your arms; responding to your call;
     Imagine us as queen and king; at our coronation ball.

Imagine if you will; worlds of dreams come true;
Imagine all our friends are there; hailing me and you.
      Think about tomorrow; in everything you do;
      Imagine never being sad; and every day’s brand new.

That’s how I’d like to love you; just imagine that;
That’s the way this life should be; from where my heart is at.
      Every day I live that moment; in the space beneath my hat;
      In my heart it never ends; from this chair in which I’ve sat..
