Poem About My Love After a Thunderstorm

Poem  after the storm of 11 May 2015

The calm after the storm
and soon I shall be in my lover’s arms.
A gentle breeze is my lover’s voice to me,
sweetly calling me to her, 
and like a breeze 
I cannot tell from whence it came
(heaven, perhaps?)
or whither it goest
(yet I shall follow).
Her lips are as rain 
on a parched land
when she caresses me with them,
sweetly, passionately.
And as her storm rises, ebbs and flows
I am caught up in her whirlwind, carried away,
but not unwillingly.  Tis glorious
the beauty of the storm yet more wonderful
is the calm that follows
as her in my arms I hold
