Pleading With Love

My heart was beating, pleading With love to never leave me My heart was beating, pleading Heaven first – she can see The reason that I besought With love to never leave me It feels this dream was for naught After the light went to dark The reason that I besought This joy was filled with such spark Only my doubts were left out After the light went to dark Kindness - what it’s all about Whispers of smiles singing loud Only my doubts were left out With love to silence the crowd My heart was beating, pleading Whispers of smiles singing loud My heart was beating, pleading I chose to run, but had I stayed, things would have been like Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Anoucheka Gangabissoon October 25, 2022
