Love Poem: Phantom Pain

Phantom Pain

love gets lost and a memory is gained
tear drops flood my desolate dreams
like a beautiful dove she spreads her wings and flys away
i'm drenched and drowniing in phantom pain

like a severed limb from a toxic tree
bearing poisoned fruit of misery
and her grapes of wrath leave me drunk and diseased
my blood flows red in phantom pain

there's a knock on my door but she's not there
there a tap on my window...she is everywhere
better look before i leap
better stop and beware
i stare into the night and she's out there... somewhere
in the stars,on the moon,in the clouds...
she's a single drop of rain
the thirst never gets quenched...
i wither away in phantom pain
