Phantom of My Love

I watch the sundown overtake my dreams,
as my thoughts shape into memories of him.
the ghosts of my love melt into the moonbeams
I spread my arms to fly to the ocean rim.

As my thoughts shape into memories of him,
I feel the touch of his hand pressing mine.
I spread my arms to fly to the ocean rim.
to dance with him and toast to love’s fine wine.

I feel the touch of his hand pressing mine
the music of the waves calls for us,
to dance with him and toast to love’s fine wine.
toppling down sandcastles with no fuss.

The music of the waves calls for us,
I dream of walking free above the waters
toppling down sandcastles with no fuss
sail into the sunset beyond all borders.

I dream of walking free above the waters
the ghosts of my love melt into the moonbeams
sail into the sunset beyond all borders.
as I watch the sundown overtake my dreams
