Path To Freedom Part Two

I’d be stuck in a time frame I can’t explain:
What possessed one person to hate another so much that they convinced
themselves that hanging them on a tree by the neck?
Some said that the only way to a slave’s freedom was death.
I won’t die held captive!
I don’t know why blacks were looked down on
I can’t say why whites became superior
But I do know that I am and can be as beautiful and intelligent as any other
person in the would
Given the equal opportunity
As a people, we need to wake up and realize that we are all equal we all need
love therefore we are the same
The only difference is I need less sun to tan!
Your customs may be different than mine, but pain is pain and it hurts me as
much as it hurts you no matter what!
I am hurt deep inside and the only way I can begin to heal is if I follow my heart
that’s where I will go from here, AND GUESS WHAT, I HAVE A DREAM.
I have a dream that in the future ignorance and stupidity will subside
I have a dream that when I go against someone who has a different skin tone
than mine for a position we are both highly qualified in we both have an equal
opportunity to make an attempt for a fair choice
I have a dream that in the future the past will reflect as a lesson learned
I have a dream that history will not repeat it self only be history
I have a dream that all acts of unkindness will be forgiven by god
I have a dream that I will be a voice not as great as M.L.K’s but well enough to be
heard.
I have a dream that keeps playing in my head, the voice of a slave that says, “I’m
free, Praise the Lord, hallelujah I’m free!”
I have a dream that hatred will drown and dissolve in a river that flows with love
and joy
I have a dream that everything that Martin Luther King stood for will continue to
stand and though he has passed in time his theories will remain a great
declaration of independence of colored people.
Dr. king was killed by hatred now it’s time for us to begin to kill hatred with love
That is where we should go from here
