Love Poem: Past Heaven's Door

Past Heaven's Door

Our loved ones wait past Heaven's door.
Their suffering’s ceased; they hurt no more.
Not now aware of mankind's cares,
Our sorrow ours, not theirs to bare.

They now await to see each face
Of those they loved now in this place.
They bide the time, but not with grief.
Instead there is the promised peace.

Each day is beauty, light and space,
Love and joy, fulfilling grace.
Endless sunshine, sparkling seas:
A world created but to please.

The reasons for all tears they shed
Within the earth life they once led,
Have been revealed and put away;
With joy they greet each golden day.

They dwell and wait within God's reign.
The gifts they earned have been attained.
Fulfilled through love and faith and pain;
Our tragic loss is Heaven's gain.
