Partners In Life and Love

Walk me to the riverside drown me in my sorrows.
Then I may begin again and this time with much more.
When you drown I and my sorrows wake your spirit.
So we may travel on this road so short and narrow.
Each day I face your honor and your fortitude.
I awaken to a new paradox that you call plain love.
Love has always been hard for me to cling too.
Not that I am heartless, you know that I am not.
We cherish each other, we serve one another.
We, as you say can beat any battle that we face.
So if I stagger and do not fall, start me out again.
Keep me on the same track that your heart travels.
And our lives together will be full of such rewards.
While our love and partnership will last forever.
