Everyone marked you the bad one,
But no one saw how you shone like the sun.
You could never fail me,
No matter what you came to be.
Thought I'd never lose you,
But here I am, writing about you.
I wish we could have had more time,
But sometimes plans change.
I still remember when I got the news,
It's the most vivid memory I have.
I tried to deny it for days,
Then I saw myself before your grave.
Being lowered 6 feet under,
While I couldn't do anything.
Now I'm living life with a guilty conscience,
Knowing I could have prevented this.
