Part 1 of This Is How We Throw Our Faith Away

Through the night lies a love in a warrior’s blood reluctant to fight due to the man above. In his heart he cries as his heart tares him apart. This is the strength of a man torn between what he has sworn and the love he has worn, since the day he was born. He’s afraid to stand; yet the power is in his hand, but he won’t let go of the land. He is a little boy hiding behind a gun, riding to be a hero, siding with fear and a toy for the devil. It is not till the end he will hear; this is how we throw our faith away. This is the way it leaves us day to day. Why is it god we betray?

A new victim is brought into the world at the rim of our hearts and because of her precious face we embrace right away. It is not till later we find she is blind, and needless to say challenged in the mind. Love disappears without a trace because of fear we won’t erase. Her tears brake so the advantage we take to bring her down and make her drown in her own sob. It is not until she is ripped apart that we feel we have done our job. This is how we throw our faith away. This is the way it leaves us day to day. Why is it god we betray?

They live on the street, Born on their feet, and every now and then get beat. They may be dirty and a little then, but that’s just because of where they’ve been. All they have is the man in the skies. No one dares look into their eyes, for it will uncover their demise. They will have to face up to their own lies. They may not have any money or riches galore, but they have god, and that’s more than the rich can sell in a store. The rich unwilling to see turn away acting more than they will ever be. This is how we throw our faith away. This is the way it leaves us day to day. Why is it god we betray?
